Tsuka Coil runs the same idea with a flat ribbon wire wrapped around multiple core strands instead of round wire, so it sits a little differently against the wick. Framed Clapton sandwiches a stacked ribbon-wire core between two round support wires, then wraps the whole thing in a thinner wire — that "frame" adds rigidity and extra texture. Clapception takes it further: a full clapton coil (core wire plus wrap) becomes the core of a second wrap, essentially a clapton wound around a clapton. Staple Staggered Fused Clapton starts as a fused clapton — two core wires side by side — then staggers the outer wraps so they sit evenly spaced rather than tight together, which opens up more surface contact with your wick. Tri-twisted Clapton twists three core wires together before wrapping, one step past a standard fused clapton's two. Spaced Clapton is the most straightforward of the seven — a single core wire wrapped with visible gaps between wraps instead of a tight coil, which makes it easier to wick evenly and a reasonable starting point if you're new to prebuilt exotic coils. One thing worth knowing before you build: Kanthal wire is for power (wattage) mode only — it doesn't work in temperature control.
